Our Great Team Mi PA is staffed by some the friendliest people you'll talk to. Founder & CEO Emma Mills Ralph Office Boss Ralph Anna Keat Receptionist (and the eyelash-envy of the office) Anna Keat Anna’s more into eyelids than eyelashes, and will happily turn hers inside out for you, should you ever feel moved to ask. She’s surprisingly good at knitting for a 21-year-old and used to tour with operas when she was a teenager, where Neville Longbottom’s mum was her chaperone (well, the actor’s mum anyway)! Anna says that making lists can really clear your head and help you over come the procrastination temptation. Rebecca McKee PA to MD (and Ryan Reynolds’ “girlfriend”…) Rebecca McKee Rebecca prides herself on her faultless performances of the cup song from Pitch Perfect – just mention the film and she’s straight to the cupboard to grab the beakers. When it comes to staying productive, she’s another advocate of the wonderful to-do list, because they give you a feeling of obligation to tick everything off before signing off for the day. Rebecca also claims Ryan Reynolds is her boyfriend. We don’t say anything because we love her. Helena Richardson MiCall Customer Success Queen Helena Richardson Helena’s part of the furniture here at MiPA and loves feeling part of our great team. Not one to be outdone by the eye-related talents of other staff members, Helena prides herself on being able to roll one eyeball while keeping the other still. She will show you, though we advise you don’t ask, for your own good as well as hers. On the productivity front, Helena always advises customers to “do what you do best, outsource the rest”. Lucy Anders Receptionist (and the eyelash-envy of the office) Lucy Anders After hours, Lucy can be found providing clients with the lashes of dreams (eyelashes). She splits her spare time between eyelash technician duties and spending time with her boyfriend, who plays for Burnley FC! Lucy says that writing things down on paper or PC is the answer to all productivity problems, helping you to remember everything, keep organised and perform better. Samantha Wilson Mi Call Operations Samantha Wilson Samantha loves a tidy workspace and reckons it helps her think more clearly and get more done. There must be something in it since she recently achieved a Masters in Production Management! Her best party trick (which we always love to see) is to get both her legs behind her head at the same time. And she’s another big advocate of taking breaks and getting a brew to reset and re-energise for the task ahead! Eloise Bonney Receptionist (and Dave Benson Phillips’ biggest fan) Eloise Bonney Eloise has many strings to her bow, being a great receptionist and a play writer (and she can even do the splits!). She loves a to-do list to help her keep productive and avoid missing an important task. Her childhood dream was made on the day she met Dave Benson Phillips from Get Your Own Back while working at the Edinburgh Fringe, but sadly she didn’t get gunged! Jodie Deakin PA Jodie Deakin For her party trick she can fit her whole fist in her mouth. Not something she likes to admit but Jodie once featured on a program called 'Trolly Dollies' in 2008 on living TV, it was supposed to document that Cabin Crew are not all stereotypical Trolly Dollies but are trained firefighters, first aiders, hard workers etc but we all came across as a bunch of airheads. Jodie works out every day she's obsessed with fitness. Inspired by David Goggins - his story remarkable, he lives and breathes by 'mind over matter' and is living proof that if you put your mind to anything you can achieve it. Set yourself daily goals and work through a checklist. Planning/preparation is key Emma Mills MiPA founder (and mother of Ralph, Manchester’s most famous Cavapoo) Emma Mills Emma started out as a PA to two successful entrepreneurs who taught her a heck of a lot about the world of small business. Since then, she’s come a long way, operating MiPA from the helm and even featuring on a nationwide billboard and radio campaign for the Department of Business! Emma’s followed in her parents’ footsteps, growing her own business from scratch (and developing a real talent for mom dancing). Her favourite tip for productivity? Just start. Becky Barlow PA (and secret party planner) Becky Barlow Travel-obsessed Becky is always on the lookout for another country to visit and add to her 35-strong list. She’s got a secret penchant for party planning, and once managed to pull off a spectacular wedding for 150 people with just 4 months’ notice. Becky reckons making a to-do list first thing in the morning is the perfect “procrastination antidote”, and she’s also the wife of a professional, competition fisherman. Yes, that’s really a thing. Emily Goodhew PA (and resident gymnast) Emily Goodhew Our favourite Aussie Emily hasn’t quite adjusted to the weather in Manchester just yet, but she’s certainly embraced the “tea culture”, always encouraging us to take regular breaks to reset with a cuppa. She won a big award in her last workplace and definitely gets the gold medal for her crazy gymnastic stunts – always the best at every MiPA party. She’s inspired by her mum’s perfect balance of sass and fun, and loves to hear a random fact! Jake Crompton PA (and concealer-connoisseur) Jake Crompton Jake’s got a multitude of talents besides being an excellent PA. He’s a dab hand with a make up brush and can speed-read anything phonetically! Jake went to high school in France and this man understands what a real croissant is. Don’t get him started on the packaged stuff. For keeping on top of productivity, Jake always advises that you start the day by going through all your tasks and coming up with a game plan to make sure you hit your targets. Matt Lindsay Ops Manager (and self-appointed poet laureate) Matt Lindsay Matt’s a level-headed sort of guy whose favourite tip for productivity is to “prioritise and execute”. He’s always advocating taking time to order tasks by priority, so you know when and where to start. Pretty nifty with a pack of cards too, Matt. (Just don’t let him deal if you ever sit down for a game of Poker.) He’s published a 5-star reviewed poetry book on Amazon and takes inspiration from Joe Rogan’s open, honest approach to journalism. Charlotte Bennett-Smith Receptionist (and MiPA magician) Charlotte Bennett-Smith Charlotte’s a history gal, splitting her spare time between studying for a History degree and tracing her family’s genealogy back some 500 years. She’s going down in history too, since a friend of hers named a character in a book after her! She’s also a got a few card tricks up her sleeve that always leave us bamboozled after a couple of drinks at an office do. Charlotte’s top tip for productivity is to take regular breaks to get a breather when you’re busy. Julia Snelling Receptionist (and ramen-on-ice specialist) Julia Snelling Ramen-crazy Julia used to live in Japan and has tried different noodle soup from virtually every region there. She’s a great ice skater and knows her way around an ice hockey rink too. It’s probably not too surprising then that her favourite tip for productivity is to remember to move! A quick stretch or a walk around the office is enough to reset you when tasks are becoming lifeless. Jack Richards PA (and former Indie Rock star) Jack Richards Before moving into the world of business, Jack played guitar(?) in an Indie Rock band. His tracks were played on several TV shows including Eastenders and Tattoo Fixers! Despite the cool background, this softie says he’s most inspired by his mum and dad’s 40-year marriage. Still best not to challenge him to a pint-downing competition though, since his record is 3.27 seconds). And Jack’s best productivity tip? Time management rules, so never be late!
