Mi PA Dinner, drinks and……fundraising!

After little training and constant monitoring of the Saturday night forecast we completed the Manchester Midnight 10K Walk after a few drinks, lots of food and in a really good time!

Every athlete needs the right fuel to do the job hence our choice of San Carlo (the best restaurant in Manchester by 10k……) for a pre-walk dinner.

Special commendation on the night should be awarded to Caroline for leading us all the way round at a pace Usain Bolt would have been proud of….hence we completed our 10k in 2 hours flat.

There was a great atmosphere on the night and lots of walkers all raising money for a fantastic cause.  We raised £300 for St Anns Hospice and a great start to our summer of fundraising……..a morning of coffee and cakes to follow in July!

Elaine is now considering taking part in the Manchester Marathon Walk in September and just has the more difficult task of persuading her walking partners to join her……good luck with that?! 🙂
